Death (like coffee) is only the beginning…
In the unique system behind ink, players only level up after there is a TPK (Total Party Kill). Cast aside your fear of TPKs and embrace the inky darkness as you battle some of the most fearsome monsters ever to exist in history.
When players die, they gain Shards that they can spend to level up their abilities and powers to make each attempt at escaping the afterlife stronger and more fearsome. But what else will they gain (or lose) in the process…?
Every character is made up of their Spirit and their Shadow. Their Spirit represents their conscious selves left behind after their death while their Shadow represents their unbridled emotions. Shadows can gain in power and ferocity using a variety of status-based attacks pulled from skill trees for Burn, Chill, Poison, Terror, and Frailty creating an “ad hoc class system” that allows players to start quick and define their classes and specialties over time.
ink uses a brand new D6 combat system featuring 6D6 Shadow dice and a single Karma die that represents the just desserts of your actions within the Ink. Use any six dice or Snowbright’s special glass Shadow and Karma dice for quick identification while rolling.
